I searched around online a bit to find the best deals on video games and where you can get them on sale. I compared prices from several websites for 2 popular games: Gears of War 2 and Fear 2. I know these aren’t the newest titles, but they have been around long enough for there to be huge competition on price. GoGamer and Gamefly sell the same game titles for half of what Gamestop charges!

GoGamer has a great selection of video games on sale for all the major systems, but you can find the best deals during their “48 Hour Madness Sale.” PC games like F.E.A.R 2 Project Origin sell for $14.90 (63% off), Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for $7.90(60% off) , and a whole bunch of other PC games for next to nothing! These prices are from the sale going on at the time of this writing and the products change frequently.

GoGamer also has great deals on games for other systems like Xbox 360 and PS3 and they will beat just about anyone’s price for new games. They also have competitive deals on refurbished Xbox 360’s, PS3s, and controllers. This is probably the first place that I would look for video game deals online.

Gamefly is not just a place to rent video games anymore. They have an awesome selection of used titles at rock bottom prices, a trade-in program, and if you really like a game rental then you have the option to buy it. You also get reward points that can be redeemed for game discounts. You do not have to be a member to pick up deals on their used games, but you do for the trade-in and reward program.

You can try Gamefly for free, but if you decide to get a membership then be sure to do it by purchasing a GameFly™ Gift Certificate which will save you 20% on annual membership fees! I have not seen this deal advertised anywhere else, so I am pretty sure it’s the best one out there.
